PLANNING MINISTER
RICHARD WYNN DELIVERS ON BOTH ELECTION PROMISES:
  1. 1. Major Hazard Facility Advisory Committee announced by the Planning Minister in September 2015.

  2. Discussion Paper December 2015,

  3. Submissions by 9 Feb 2016,

  4. Hearings from 17 March 2016. 

  5. Save Williamstown submission

  6. GREAT RECOMMENDATIONS
    New planning regulations recommended re MHFs and Pipelines; Worksafe & EPA to be funded as referral authorities with professional modelling of risk
    + SAVE WILLIAMSTOWN thanked for our important contribution to the deliberations of the advisory committee.

  7. Now the government needs to take action Watch this space .

  8. 2.Planning Scheme Amendment C105 replaced the advisory heights with mandatory maximum height limits of 25m and returned to the recommendations of the Port Phillip Woollen Mill Advisory Committee. 


  1. Developers will now need to comply with Controlled HeightsEmergency Management for the whole site and a Coastal Hazard Vulnerability Assessment for every application after 25th May 2015
